God Is With Us When Bad Things Happen

JOB: TALK ABOUT A BAD DAY!

The book of Job (it’s pronounced jobe) could be called “Job and the Terrible, Rotten, Miserable, Very-Bad-for-a-While Life.”

The bad day begins

Rich. Great family. Good man. That’s what people would have said about Job. But then the bad day started. Read Job 1:13-22 to see how Job’s life changed big time.

Is there a doctor in the house?

Next, Satan struck Job with a horrible case of sores all over his body. Gross! Satan was still trying to make Job turn against God. Find out what happened in Job 2:7-10.

FAMILY CHALLENGE:

Words from a whirlwind

God answered Job’s questions, and he did it in an unusual way! And what God said was even more amazing! Want to get a glimpse of God’s power and majesty? Just read Job 38–41!

All’s well that ends well

Job’s troubles didn’t last forever. Things got better and better. Check out the details in Job 42:10-13.

The Cheerful Giver

He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. 11 You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God.
