As Pastor Smokie Norful has stated over the past week, the building is closed, but the church is not. We remain committed to partnering with the parents of Victory Cathedral to help you remain the greatest influence in the lives of your children.
Student Ministries at Victory Cathedral consist of students from Pre-school through 12 grade. In 2019, we began our partnership with The Orange Strategy because they too believe that what we do for kids and teenagers is one of the most important things that a church can focus on.
During this season of worshipping digitally, we will supply parents with weekly resources that will equip you to help your kids and teenagers continue to grow spiritually.
Each week our student ministry leaders send an email to parents of the students who have recently attended worship with our kids and/or teenagers.
As an example, below we have included links to the weekly video lessons, student handouts, and parent guides for each age group.
CLICK HERE to subscribe. Only those who subscribe will receive future emails. Your email will be added to the email list and during this season of us worshiping digitally, our student ministry leaders will send you a weekly email that includes the information listed below.
If you currently receive these emails via KidCheck from the student ambassadors, you do NOT have to subscribe.
We pray that these materials are helpful as we partner to help our students come to know God, build a personal relationship with Jesus, discover their purpose, and make a difference in our communities.
Memory Verse: Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up. Proverbs 12:25 NIV | Key Message: Middle school has always been stressful, but research tells us that teenagers today are facing more pressure than ever before. Juggling the changing demands in grades, relationships, and growing responsibilities places our teens at a much higher risk for stress. Anxiety is an overwhelming feeling of worry, unease, or fear that lingers, interfering with how we live our everyday lives.
Memory Verse: You owe it to yourself to be honest to yourself. 2 Samuel 11:1,3 |
Key Message: This is a continuation of the series on dating & sex that the teens began before we had to suspend worshipping in person. Here is a summary of the weeks main message

Weekly Cues: As a parent, some of the most important things you do for your child don’t happen in a single day. You make small deposits in their life week after week—over time. That’s why the Parent Cue App gives weekly cues to help you make the most of the time you spend with your kid or teenager.
